Fall Engagement Photos in Summit County, Colorado | Monique and Alex

One of the perks of being a photographer here in Colorado is that there’s ALWAYS somewhere new to explore. I’ve taken LOTS of engagement photos in Summit County, but my session with Monique and Alex (and their pup Rosie) led us to a new trail for me here in Colorado, and I couldn’t be more excited about what we captured!!

Their Breathtaking Engagement Session in Summit County, Colorado

Monique and Alex may have found each other online, but these two are an outdoorsy couple through and through, so much so that Alex even proposed on a ski trip in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. So naturally, we had to take their engagement photos in an equally beautiful spot in Summit County - easily one of my favorite places for Colorado weddings and engagement photos. These two brought their pup Rosie along for a hike up a beautiful, quiet road into the forest! We had beautiful views and fall colors along the way, and best of all we had it totally to ourselves!! 

Throughout our session in Summit County, Colorado we were able to enjoy everything from creek crossings, to dirt roads, and rocky terrain. And of course we HAD to snag some shots with the beautiful mountain peaks. Monique’s outfits also added the perfect pop of colors to Colorado’s striking evergreens and classic fall colors!

How to Make Your Engagement Photos Feel True to You

When planning your engagement session in Colorado, it’s SO important to have a session that feels unique to you. You can achieve this in many different ways like picking a spot that's important to you, or planning a special activity for the session. Or you can ABSOLUTELY include your pet!! Monique and Alex did just that by including their pup Rosie, who clearly enjoyed this adventure as much as us! Between bringing Rosie along, and choosing to go for a hike in Summit County, Colorado, this session was one that felt comfortable and fun because of how much it resonated with them as a couple, and we were able to photograph some beautiful memories that they’ll cherish forever.
