YOU DID IT! You planned, prepped for, and celebrated your wedding day and it was EVERYTHING you hoped it would be!! As you ride this wave of joy and excitement you’ll receive the sneak peeks of your wedding photos soon, and your whole album not long after. The question is then, what exactly should you do after you get your wedding photos? In the digital age we find ourselves in, it can be so easy to simply look at the photos on your phone or computer and then leave it at that. I’m here today though to show you that there are SO many fun and meaningful ways for you to use your wedding photos after you receive them! Let’s take a look at five of my favorites!!

The Importance of Printing Photos

Before we dig into the options you have for using your wedding photos after you receive them, I wanted to go over how important it is to actually print out your photos. Four out of the five reasons below revolve around printing your photos after all! Printed photos, in the many forms we’ll discuss soon, have a certain feel to them that you just can’t get from their digital counterparts. This may seem obvious in the literal sense of actually being able to hold the individual images, but there’s more to it than that!

Whether it’s photos displayed on the walls of your home, or your wedding album that people can page through, there’s a certain magic that only physical photos can capture. It’s the weight of the album in your hands, how vibrant the colors are, and that feeling of being there in the moment of the photo that you really can only experience through printed photos!

5 Ways to Enjoy Your Photos After Your Wedding

1. Order Prints for Wall Art

Your wedding day is a HUGE part of the love story that the two of you share with one another, so it only makes sense to display your favorite moments from the day in the space you call home! After your wedding album is delivered, order some high quality prints of your favorite memories of your wedding day to hang around the walls of your home. Whether you want to make a collage wall, or you want to spread them around throughout the house, having these photos up in your home will bring you right back to that moment of joy every time you see the picture!

The great thing about wall prints now is that there are so many options to choose from as well! Whether you want a traditional paper print in a frame, a metal print, a canvas, or something else entirely, you can choose whatever fits your home’s style! Finally, as a reminder for any of my clients (past, present, or future!), you’re able to order your prints directly through your photo gallery that I send to you making things as simple and seamless as possible!!

2. Make a Coffee Table Album

The next way to use your wedding photos after you receive them is a fun one, and that’s creating a coffee table book with them! Wedding photo albums have been the norm for a while, but they’re usually hidden away in a closet, or at best displayed on a bookshelf. A fun recent trend though is to create a coffee table book using prints of your wedding photos to tell the story of your day! This is a great way for friends and family that are visiting to relive the day with you, or to share the day with those who may have missed it.

As a special bonus for my clients they’re able to order luxury photo albums directly from their gallery. This takes the question of quality out of the picture and ensures that you and your guests will have a top notch coffee table book of your wedding photos to enjoy!

3. Send Them Out to Friends and Family

Another fun option for using your wedding photos after the big day is to send them out for different occasions! The first that comes to mind is likely your thank you cards which is always a fantastic idea! This is such a special way to thank those that helped make your wedding day possible, and what better way to say thanks than with a photo from your day that shows just how much the day meant to you! Another option is to use your wedding photos for your Holiday cards. Those that were there for the wedding will love getting to see part of the day again, and those that weren’t there will be overjoyed seeing how happy the two of you are taking this next step in your life together!

4. Get a Digital Frame

The next item on our list is the only one that doesn’t involve printing your photos, but rather displaying them through a digital picture frame! A digital photo frame is the best of both worlds for those looking to display photos in their home similarly to prints, while also having a wide array of photos to offer like a photo album. A digital frame lets you choose ALL your favorite photos from your wedding day that it will then cycle through, that way every photo gets a chance to be in the limelight and on display!

5. Get Creative With Different Printing Options

Finally, for our last option for things to do with your wedding photos I’m letting your creativity and imagination run wild! Printing photos on paper, metal, or canvas is a great option for wall art in your home, but there’s SO much more you can do with your photos! Choose 12 of your favorite photos to use for a calendar, use them for Christmas tree ornaments, magnets, blankets, really anything you can think of! The sky’s the limit!! These can be great for your home, but also make for great and meaningful gifts to your loved ones. My clients are able to order a wide array of items with their photos on them through their gallery, but for anything my site doesn’t offer I recommend using Mpix to receive quality and trustworthy prints!

Your wedding photos are such a special and meaningful element from your wedding day, which is why they deserve so much more than to just live on your phone and only be brought out and shared either on your Instagram or when people ask about your wedding day! I hope this list gives you some fun ways to use your wedding photos after you receive them for you, your friends, and your family to enjoy!
