Colorado Wedding Venue Feature: Spruce Mountain Ranch
It’s that time again! Today we’re going to be taking a look at one of my favorite places to get married in Colorado, the incredible wedding venue of Spruce Mountain Ranch!! This mountainside ranch features 225 acres of natural wonder, all of which surround the amazing venue options they have available for couples to choose from. That only scratches the surface of what this amazing space has in store though, so let’s take a look at what makes Spruce Mountain Ranch one of the best wedding venues in the Denver area, and really Colorado as a whole!
The Incredible Array of Spaces Available
One of the most appealing features of Spruce Mountain Ranch as a wedding venue are the sheer variety of spaces available for couples to choose from for their wedding day in Colorado. The venue features two main sites, the Lower Ranch and Upper Ranch, each of which consist of their own array of venue spaces to choose from.
At the Lower Ranch You'll Find
Albert’s Lodge: Indoor Ceremony or Reception Space with 175-200 Guest Capacity
The Colorado Room: Indoor Ceremony or Reception Space with 80-200 Guest Capacity
The Courtyard: Outdoor Ceremony or Reception Space with 200 Guest Capacity
Grace’s Chapel: Outdoor Ceremony Space with 200 Guest Capacity
Mountainside: Outdoor Ceremony Space with 200 Guest Capacity
At the Upper Ranch You'll Find
The Ponderosa Room: Indoor Ceremony or Reception Space with 400-500 Guest Capacity
The Spruce Room: Indoor Ceremony or Reception Space with 175-500 Guest Capacity
The Aspen Room: Indoor Ceremony or Reception Space with 150-345 Guest Capacity
The Courtyard: Outdoor Ceremony or Reception Space with 400-500 Guest Capacity
The Lakeview Terrace: Covered Outdoor Ceremony or Reception Space with 40/85 Guest Capacity
Trey’s Vista: Outdoor Ceremony Space with 500 Guest Capacity
A Prime Location and Setting
The wide selection of venue options makes for an ideal setting for practically any size, style, and shape of wedding celebration, but that’s only part of the charm! Spruce Mountain Ranch sits surrounded by the picturesque beauty of the Colorado mountains, with each space within the venue being crafted to enhance the enjoyment of the area’s natural wonder. Whether you want wide open vistas, a rustic lodge looking out towards the mountains, or an intimate terrace set next to a lake, Spruce Mountain Ranch has options for every wedding vision!
Not only is this area remarkably gorgeous, it’s also wonderfully simple to access! Spruce Mountain Ranch is only around an hour drive south of Denver. For couples who plan on inviting family that are traveling from out of state this allows them to have a wedding experience authentic to Colorado without the need to travel for hours on end!
The Amenities Available
As it sits currently, Spruce Mountain Ranch could get by as a must consider wedding venue in Colorado due to its beauty and spaces available, but that’s not how they operate! Instead, Spruce Mountain Ranch goes the extra mile to ensure that their couples have THE best experience possible while celebrating their wedding day!! Included with each of their packages is:
Separate Ceremony, Reception, and Cocktail Hour Spaces with Tables and Chairs Included
Access to the Venue Space for 11 Hours
On Site Getting Ready Spaces
Setup and Teardown Assistance
On-Site Parking
Helpful Planning Guide
On-Site Property Manager
Pet Friendly!
The venue also has a dynamic pricing structure. Prices vary based on the season of the event, the day of the event, and whether the event is ceremony only or includes a reception. I absolutely adore the venue’s commitment to providing an outstanding experience to every one of their couples, and this is just another one of those areas that truly allow them to do this.
Vendor Requirements
Another area that Spruce Mountain Ranch excels as a wedding venue in Colorado is their approach to wedding vendors. Spruce Mountain Ranch takes a hybrid approach when it comes to vendor requirements as they give their couples a TON of freedom when it comes to choosing vendors, but they do still have some requirements:
Catering: Must be with One of Their Catering Partners
Rentals: Must be Through Event Rents
Beverages: Must be Through Peak Beverage
Outside of those requirements the venue gives you total freedom when choosing the vendors that will help to create the wedding day of your dreams! It is worth noting that you must book a professional event/wedding coordinator, though honestly this is a great idea in my opinion as it makes things SO much simpler and less stressful for everyone involved!
Other Notes
There are a few other notes that I want to include when talking about Spruce Mountain Ranch, the first being accommodations for you and your guests overnight stay. There currently is only one lodging option at the venue, the Estate House, which can be booked by the bride and groom for an additional nightly fee. This estate sleeps 18, so it’s a wonderful option for couples looking for a place to stay with their wedding parties the night before and on their wedding day! Aside from that, there are plenty of hotels nearby for your guests to choose from, many of which have discounted rates or transportation deals with Spruce Mountain Ranch.
The venue also does not feature any Audio/Visual equipment, so you’ll have to rely on your DJ, Live Band, or another vendor in order to provide this for your day. Outside of that though the venue really does have everything you need in order to create the ultimate Colorado wedding experience!!
That just about covers everything you need to know about Spruce Mountain Ranch as well as what makes it such a fantastic wedding venue here in Colorado! For a closer look at the space check out this styled shoot that took place here that I was lucky enough to be a part of, and for anyone looking to have me document their wedding day be sure to send me an inquiry today!!
