Summer is just around the corner, so I thought what better time than now to talk about one of my FAVORITE weddings from last summer! Eileen and Spencer’s wedding day at The Charter at Beaver Creek was a truly authentic celebration of their relationship and their love story. The two met while going to college here in Colorado, and they love going on adventurous hikes together, so a wedding in the mountains of Beaver Creek was only fitting! Getting Ready for Their Wedding at The Charter at Beaver Creek

My day with Eileen and Spencer began with the two getting ready with their respective wedding parties in the comfort of their rooms at The Charter at Beaver Creek! As you may know, I’m a HUGE advocate for getting ready on location for your wedding day, and thankfully the rooms here are perfect for this. They are spacious, offer tons of natural light, and are just minutes away from the ceremony and reception spaces! This peace of mind and relaxed start to the day allowed Eileen and Spencer to really enjoy their time getting ready with their friends before their first look. Speaking of which…

The first look is always such a fun and sweet moment to document as there is just SO much joy and emotion that comes out of it! Eileen and Spencer’s was no exception as the two were positively radiant seeing one another for the first time!! After taking a moment to share their private vows and snag some couples portraits we began to make our way to the ceremony space for some wedding party photos before their guests arrived.

An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in the Mountains of Colorado

When talking with Eileen and Spencer they let me know that their favorite part of planning their wedding day was choosing The Charter at Beaver Creek as their wedding venue, and it’s easy to see why! Spencer and his family have close ties to Vail, Colorado, and the semi-all-inclusive nature of the venue really appealed to them. The staff is also immensely helpful, and the views here are pretty hard to beat!!

These gorgeous mountain views set the scene for the outdoor ceremony space as its pristine and stunning backdrop. With their friends and family gathered there to celebrate their love, Eileen and Spencer shared a quick and touching ceremony before officially becoming newlyweds. After an array of family and wedding party portraits it was time to get the party started!!

Portraits and Their Wedding Reception at The Charter at Beaver Creek

While cocktail hour was taking place on the gorgeous outdoor lawn of The Charter at Beaver Creek, Eileen, Spencer and I snuck away for some couples portraits before the start of their wedding reception. Between the beautiful mountain views and the lovely grounds of the resort itself we had plenty to work with as far as backdrops!

While Eileen and Spencer both wanted beautiful photos documenting their day, their main goal had always been to enjoy themselves and celebrate with their favorite people. There was clear intention in making this goal a reality throughout the day, but the reception is where it really came to fruition! Throughout the night there were so many smiles, deep belly laughs, tender embraces, and a TON of killer moves out on the dance floor. It was everything these two had worked so hard to create, and I’m so glad to have been a part of it all!!
