Elegant Wedding at the Manor House Colorado | Megan and Blake
Colorado is known for its beautiful nature and scenic mountain views. But one thing we also have here are amazing historical, elegant, and classy wedding venues - while also still being immersed in those outdoor scenes. Megan and Blake’s summer wedding at The Manor House in Littleton, CO was all the above! It was almost like walking into a scene from The Great Gatsby with the grandeur of the Manor House right in the middle of a magnificent canyon. Megan, Blake, and their crew really knew how to celebrate in style too. From the stunning details of the day to the always full dance floor, this whole day is one for the books!
Elegant Wedding at The Manor House
EVERYTHING about this wedding was curated with the most elevated and meaningful planning in mind. They specifically got married on Loving Day, a very important and intentional day for them. Simple, elegant, hints of blue and yellow highlighted their invitations, shoes, and keepsakes of the day, which perfectly complimented the bridesmaids' satin yellow dresses and Megan’s classic strapless dress adorned with a beautiful large bow on the back. Blake had his own getting ready space at the venue (ALWAYS a fan of this, it makes logistics of the day so much easier on everyone). The guys had their own game day walk up moment before getting suited up and taking some chic portraits.
Megan shared an emotional first look with her dad before ramping up the excitement with a first look with all her ladies before grabbing some solo portraits of each!
The Manor House has an AMAZING outdoor ceremony space overlooking the canyon hills where Megan and Blake shared hand written vows. Then we were off to take family and wedding party portraits both inside and outside to accommodate the different group sizes. The indoor library is hands down one of the best spaces for portraits at this venue! The lighting mixed with the historical charm of the bookcases really makes for some great photos!
Their Colorado Wedding Reception
We then jumped into couples portraits at a few different spots throughout the venue. The library, front of the manor, and surrounding field were all breathtaking backdrops with all the most beautiful light. We even had a rainbow photobomb us for sunset after some storm clouds rolled through!
Rolling into this reception at The Manor House, you could tell everyone came ready to party! Megan and Blake took dance lessons for their first dance - this 100% paid off! Blake even surprised Megan with a choreographed groomsmen dance which was executed flawlessly. We were able to sneak away one more time for some dramatic night portraits before the dance floor opened up. It got wild…memories were made… and so much fun was had!
Perks of Having Multiple Portrait Sessions on a Wedding Day
It’s always great when a wedding day timeline allows for multiple quick portrait sessions throughout the day instead of one long stretch of time. This allows us to get more of a variety of locations and gives you and your partner breaks between photos so you can get a drink, relax, and take in all the parts of the day a little bit more. Doing this also can get you and your partner more time to be alone together. Wedding days move so quickly, and oftentimes you very little time to actually be alone and present with your spouse. Breaking up your portraits gives you these little intimate moments together that you otherwise might miss out on.
The Manor House had so many beautiful spaces for portraits, splitting up their portraits allowed for such a large variety of portraits in their wedding gallery.
The Benefits of Having an Adventure Session
Megan and Blake added on an adventure session, which I LOVED! These are photos taken on a separate day after the wedding where you get to dress up in your elegant wedding attire AGAIN! I absolutely love when couples add this on because it gives us a slower paced portrait session in a whole new location. You get to live in this moment with your partner and really soak it all in without the pressure of a wedding day timeline. Plus you get that intimate feeling of an elopement while also still celebrating your full wedding day! 10/10 recommend!
Megan and Blake’s wedding day was really something out of a 1920s romantic novel. Elegant, classy and ultimately perfect for these two. They planned and executed all the details marvelously and their love absolutely shines through in these photos.
