Northstar Gatherings is a stunning venue located in the mountains of Colorado. It’s also 100% solar-powered for anyone looking for an eco-friendly and sustainable wedding venue (something I personally LOVE)! It features a bright, clean aesthetic that allows for endless wedding décor options. Northstar is also a great option for both indoor and outdoor wedding options. Indoor and Outdoor Wedding Venue
First thing to note about Northstar is the fact that they only book weddings from mid April to mid November due to winter snows. Although this venue is close to Denver, it’s still in the mountains which means a heavy snowfall makes it quite tricky and dangerous to travel to for couples and guests, hence their aversion to winter weddings!
However, spring, summer, and fall weddings are SUCH a beautiful time to have a wedding in the Colorado Mountains! Northstar Gatherings also provides two getting ready spaces, as well as an indoor space and outdoor spaces for their couples, which is great for some of those finicky Colorado weather days!!
Getting Ready Spaces
There are two getting ready spaces - perfect for each person to have their own space!
The Loft: This space is located in the Great Hall, overlooking the reception space. It provides a makeup counter, powder room, and plenty of seating for you and your party.
Aspen House: This space is within Northstar’s aspen grove, overlooking the Eastern ridge. It provides a clothes rack, fans, tables and chairs.
Outdoor Ceremony Space
The ceremony deck overlooks the beautiful Continental Divide and provides enough space for 170 guests. Your reservation includes folding chairs for your guests, a triangle arch, and tree stumps.
Indoor Reception Space
The Great Hall welcomes the sun and outdoors in with window lined walls, allowing those mountain views to be seen from any table. The modern and bright vibe of this room allows for your personal touch and décor to add to the romantic charm of the evening. Capacity for this space is also 170 guests!
Outdoor Cocktail Deck
The Cocktail Deck runs the full length of the building and eventually meets up with the ceremony deck. Views of the Rockies are enjoyed as guests sip on their favorite beverage while being warmed by the propane heaters provided in every rental!

Northstar does have some requirements for catering, bartending, and coordination.
Catering and Bartending
Standard Rental: They do require couples to use a caterer or bartending services from one of their preferred vendors. These vendors are proven to operate at the quality Northstar Gatherings expects to provide a phenomenal experience for their couples.
All-Inclusive: All you can eat pizza and bartending services are a part of this package with a dollar minimum if you prefer a different dinner option. However, alcohol is not included in this price. Couples will be able to BYOB and have the bartending staff serve guests.
Day Of Coordination
Standard Rental: An insured day of coordinator that is not a guest or in the wedding party is required.
All-Inclusive: A day of coordinator is included in this price!
All Other Vendors (Photo, Video, Décor, etc.)
There are no other restrictions on your other vendors for the day!!
Accessibility Prior to Wedding Day
After booking, you’ll want to see the venue to determine the décor you want, seating arrangements, and overall flow of the day. Northstar Gatherings does provide monthly open houses for booked couples and vendors to tour the venue. They also host a virtual walkthrough 30-60 days prior to wedding day to make sure everything comes together seamlessly for your day!
