I absolutely love photographing proposals in the wonderful city of Denver! There are a TON of stunning locations for a proposal throughout the city, one of my favorites being the magical Denver Botanic Gardens! There are SO MANY beautiful spots to pop the question, and the various gardens offer such romantic vibes for the portrait photos that follow. That’s why when Hunter reached out about a surprise proposal to Morgan I was beyond excited to recommend the York Street location of the gardens for the occasion!!

A Surprise Spring Proposal in the Denver Botanic Gardens

I helped Hunter plan this surprise proposal so that Morgan was TOTALLY caught off guard! I was able to photograph from a distance while Hunter got down on one knee, leaving Morgan in complete shock when I popped out snapping away. Even her twin sister showed up to watch and celebrate!

After some laughs and taking in the excitement of the initial proposal, it was time for us to venture through the gorgeous Denver Botanic Gardens for some portraits. This proposal took place in spring, which is a gorgeous time in the gardens because the tulips and flowers are blooming, which created the most jaw dropping pops of color to compliment Morgan’s stunning art deco inspired marquise stone ring. We popped over to the Woodland Mosaic Solarium (another one of my favorites) for a touch of architecture amongst the trees! Luckily, the spring rain held out for us, and the gardens were lush and beautiful, so everything came together perfectly!!
