Summer Engagement Session at Mount Falcon | Becky and Tyler
Becky and Tyler’s engagement session at Mount Falcon was about as perfect as a session could be. And it totally captured their adventuring spirit as a couple. These two originally met at a silent disco wig party (how fun is that?!). Tyler then proposed while on a hike at Blue Lakes near Telluride. Safe to say we kept the adventurous vibes rolling with this session. The spring weather was showing off, and the mountain views were beautiful! Also, their adorable pup Cozmo was possibly the star of the show with his perfect model poses! Adventurous Engagement Session at Mount Falcon
Taking engagement photos at Mount Falcon is ALWAYS such a solid choice. Mount Falcon is only a half hour drive southwest from Downtown Denver, just south of Red Rocks. Yet the location still offers those classic mountain views and tree covered trails Colorado is known for. This was a PERFECT scene for these two as we wandered around the park! We were able to start with some flawless evergreen backdrops before moving on to new spots within the park.
I especially loved this session because Becky and Tyler were SO down to adventure and explore the beauty of Mount Falcon! We twirled and laughed our way to some open skies and those dreamy mountain views. About half way through they had a quick outfit change from their dressier outfits to something more casual. Of course we had to include their pup Cozmo, who was so well behaved and posed so properly the entire time!!
How to Include Your Dog in Your Engagement Session
I love to have my couples include their dogs in their engagement sessions since these are memories of what their life is like at this specific moment, and their furry friend is a huge part of that! If you’re looking to bring your pup to your session here are some quick tips to help make it an easy and enjoyable experience:
Make sure your location is dog friendly! - Not all trails or locations allow dogs, so double check and have this be your very first step!
Bring someone to help with the pup - It’s nice to have someone else there to hold onto your pup while we take some solos of you and your partner.
Bring treats and water: Food or treats will help keep their attention, and water will help if they get thirsty while trotting around!
Take them for a pre-session walk: If they’re a particularly high-energy dog, take them for a walk beforehand to get all that pup excitement out of the way before getting them in front of the camera.
Don’t forget doggy bags: We don’t want another hiker to accidentally step in dog waste and trek it throughout the park!
Becky and Tyler’s engagement session at Mount Falcon was such a treat! I’m so honored they brought me along to document this moment for them and included Cozmo for some cherished memories. I truly cannot wait to be a part of their wedding this fall! If you’re currently engaged or wanting to propose in Colorado, please reach out - I’d love to help with any questions you have!!
