Dog-friendly Wedding Venues in Colorado

My partner and I recently adopted a dog to add to our family of cats, so I thought it was appropriate to put together a blog on dog-friendly wedding venues in Colorado!  I love all animals, and love when people include their dogs in their wedding days!  Your fur-babies are such big parts of your lives, which is why it only makes sense that you would include your pets on your wedding day.

Things to Think About When Including Your Pet in Your Wedding Day

When including your pet on your wedding day, it’s important to think about your dog's experience as well as your own! Being sure to keep them safe on the venue premises, as well as keep your guests safe are always priority, so when choosing a venue keep this in mind.

Some venues only allow pets on leashes during the ceremony. Some venues allow pups off-leash all throughout your wedding day.  Be sure to take note of what each venue allows before committing!

Pet Handlers in Colorado

What is a pet handler? A pet handler is someone you can hire to manage your pet throughout your wedding day.  Typically pet handler job focuses on day-of coordination for your pet. Packages also often include pet transportation and overnight care following your ceremony or reception.  This is a great option for couples who want everyone in their life to be truly present on their wedding day, including their fur-baby!

Plus the Pups

An Important Note to Couples

Because Colorado is a state that allows self-solemnization, people have traveled to Colorado for years to get married so that their pets can "sign" their marriage license.  It’s important to note that not every county in Colorado allows this anymore. Make sure to do your research on which counties allow this. Then, be sure to follow the rules or your prospective county regarding your furry witness’s signature.
