Gatsby Inspired Wedding at Denver Botanic Gardens | Sofia and Karl
Karl and Sofia had an absolutely stunning wedding day that was the perfect start to the summer wedding season. Their Gatsby inspired wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens made for the perfect summer wedding. The flowers were in bloom, the sun was shining, and all of their friends and family committed to the wedding theme, which made for some epic guest attire.
Planning a Wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens
This beautiful Denver wedding venue is home to SO many beautiful spaces throughout its two locations. I feel so lucky to have photographed multiple weddings throughout the various gardens, with each location somehow more beautiful than the last. Each of these venues have different guest caps as well as vastly different features. Be sure to look through all of the options the venue has to offer as I’m sure there is one that will fit your day!
Some of My Personal Favorite Locations at the Denver Botanic Gardens Include:
-Woodland Mosaic and Solarium
-The Orangery
-Mitchel Hall (where Sofia and Karl were married!)
-Chatfield Farms and it’s locations
Karl and Sofia hosted their guests for their wedding ceremony in the Romantic Gardens. The beautiful landscaping throughout the garden framed these two perfectly as Sofia walked down the aisle. Sofia’s Aunt performed a special song on the piano as she walked and the two shared a beautifully intimate ceremony surrounded by their loved ones.
Wedding Portraits at Cheesman Park
Cheesman Park is a beautiful park on the same campus as the Denver Botanic Gardens, and it is also dog friendly! Because of all of the beautiful plants throughout the Denver Botanic Gardens you are not allowed to bring your pups into the gardens. So, we walked over to Cheesman Pavilion on their wedding day to take some photos with their pup, Mel, which was so special!

A Beautiful Celebration at Mitchel Hall at the Denver Botanic Gardens
Mitchel Hall is one of the biggest reception venues at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The indoor space has a stage for the band which was one of the selling points for these two.
You see, live music is huge for Karl and Sofia. Karl was actually the bassist in one of Sofia’s friends’ bands which is how the two met. Sofia and Karl opened their dance floor by dancing to their favorite song “Best Part” by Jordan Rakei, and we boogied the rest of the night away to the live band on stage!
Iconic is an understatement, and I am so thrilled to have been a part of it!!
