LGBTQ Couples Session in Littleton Colorado | AJ and Jack

Something that everyone in Colorado searches for at the start of spring is beautiful blooms.  AJ, Jack and I were lucky to catch these gorgeous crabapple blooms at the start of spring this year, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint.  Take a look at their beautiful couples session below.

LGBTQ Couples Session in Littleton Colorado

Ever since we bought our townhouse a year ago, I’ve known about the insanely beautiful blossoms just a few minutes from our door!! When they started blooming early this year, I just knew I had to capture them with a cutie couple!

Enter my twinnie Jack and his boyfriend AJ!! 😍 They were kind enough to volunteer their exceptional vibes (and outfits) for me. So NO to all the nosy family and friends seeing these, this isn't an announcement or anything 😝

When planning their couples session in Littleton, Colorado, I let AJ and Jack know that green and pink would be the base to the color palette at this beautiful location.  These two love mixing colors and patterns in their wardrobe, so I knew they would bring so many fun looks to this dreamy backdrop.

What to Wear to Your Colorado Photo Session

Jack and AJ’s couples session in Littleton Colorado had PERFECT conditions.  Comfortable temperatures, no rain or snow, a beautiful sunset, and a super easy walk to the location.  There wasn’t a ton to think about logistically when choosing outfits, which meant they could really have fun and wear whatever they wanted for their session. They had so much fun mixing patterns and colors, making their outfits pop against the beautiful backdrop of the crabapple blooms.

Things to Think About When Choosing Your Couples Session Outfits ‍

The Weather

Colorado weather can be unpredictable, so it’s important to be prepared!  Be sure you’re dressed for the weather and have any needed supplies to keep you safe and make your session easier.  Things like sunscreen, umbrellas, and appropriate footwear can make a huge difference.

The Terrain

Be sure to research the area we are planning to use for your session so you can bring appropriate footwear.  You might not want to wear heels while walking a trail to a scenic overlook, but you always have the option to switch shoes once we arrive at our session location!

Colors

Pay attention to the colors that will make up your session backdrop so you can be sure you stand out.  If you’re taking photos among the bright yellow fall aspens, for example, you’ll want to choose colors that will compliment the yellow scenery.

Patterns

Adding patterns and unique clothing pieces is such a fun way to incorporate your personality into your photos.  AJ and Jack LOVE patterns so I was so excited to see how they incorporated them throughout their outfits.

Movement and Layers

Having layers such as sweaters or jackets add visual interest to your looks and help create variety throughout your photos.  They also give you a little flexibility and variation during your session.

One of my favorite parts of this job is being able to document the love stories of my friends and family over the years.  I loved documenting this fun season of life for my brother and his boyfriend, and we had so much fun taking their photos in one of my favorite spring spots in Colorado.
